Amelie Castillo has been a proud part of Take a Bow Performing Arts Center for 12 years, where she grew from a young dancer into the passionate teacher she is today. Her journey as an educator began at just 10 years old, when she started assisting Miss Carrie in classes with the dream of becoming a dance teacher one day—a goal she is proud to have achieved. Amelie has a natural ability to connect with children and create a fun, encouraging, and positive environment where every dancer can grow and feel confident. One of her proudest accomplishments was having the first competitive dance she taught win First Overall, marking an exciting start to her teaching career. Currently attending Brooklyn College and minoring in children’s education, Amelie continues to strengthen her knowledge and skills in working with young students. Having been surrounded by children throughout her life, she brings patience, enthusiasm, creativity, and care into every class. After growing up at Take a Bow, Amelie is excited to give back to the studio that shaped her and inspire the next generation of dancers.
